Aussie Curves: Handmade

Hello! Can you believe it? Two Aussie Curves challenges in a row!

This week is handmade. I’m a shit at sewing, I did sewing in high school and was never good at it. As I’ve gotten older I’ve taken to knitting.

I’m not an overly creative knitter, the only things I can manager are scarves, booties and beanies.

I recently finished a scarf I started about this time a year ago. It’s a pattern I’d never tried before and for a novice like me very hard. I’m pretty happy with the finished product.

This photo was taken in Canberra’s very hipster district called Lonsdale St in Braddon. The boyfriend and I had indulged in breakfast and were on our way to see a movie.

Here’s a close up where you can see the scarf a bit better. I particularly love the colour and usually pair it with white or black top/jacket so it’s a statement pop of colour.

  1. Very nice! I’m a crocheter more than a knitter so I’m jealous of your cables.

  3. Your scarf is awesome! I was great at knitting when I was younger, but have totally forgotten how. Perhaps I will have to learn again…
